Jorn Smeets is Managing Director – North America for PhotonDelta. Based in Silicon Valley, his mission is to accelerate the photonic chip industry by building collaborations between North America and the PhotonDelta ecosystem. Prior to his role in the USA, Jorn was Chief Marketing Officer and Board Member of PhotonDelta, where he was closely involved with the organisational strategy and overall business operations. Jorn has a background in business management, with extensive international working experience throughout various industries in China, Singapore, France, Italy, and the Netherlands.
Laurens Ghyselen is a Product Manager at Robovision, where he plays a key role in advancing AI-driven computer vision solutions. With a background in artificial intelligence and business management, Laurens has contributed to Robovision’s growth, including securing a $42 million investment to expand in the U.S.
He holds an Advanced Master's degree in AI from KU Leuven and a Master’s degree in Business Administration from Ghent University. Laurens has experience in both technical and strategic roles, having worked on deep learning projects in medical imaging and as a Presales Engineer at Robovision. His expertise lies in applying AI to solve practical challenges, and he is a strong advocate for innovation in the field.
